Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.   Ye are my friends,...  John 15:13-14

I want to welcome you to my heart

I am Mary Beth.  I live in Sasser, Georgia on 20 acres.  I made this page as a way of maybe helping someone through my testimony and to give honor and praise to God.  I once was lost, and now I am saved.

One summer, a friend of my son invited him to church.  He started going with another family and it wasn't long before God started working in mine and my husband's heart about us going as well.  I will never be able to repay that special lady for inviting my child, but one day, God will reward her with a crown.  First of all, I must say that if you don't know the Lord Jesus as your Savior please go to how to be saved, it is so simple.  There is no other decision in your life that is more important.  Don't put it off, tomorrow may be too late.

Saying that, I hope you feel welcome here.  I hope you are encouraged.  I hope you learn something.  God is still working on me.  I often stand amazed at the sins we still carry around.  Some are easier to get rid of than others.  I just pray for God to show me my sins and help me to overcome them, like I said, God is still working on me.

My testimony

It's funny how you don't even think about what all God does until He saves you.  Then, you look back on your life and you can see how he had you in the palm of His hands all along the way.  Psalm 40:2 "He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings."

Before God saved me, I was on several medications for depression.  I was a miserable person with a book shelf full of self help books.  I was sort of drifting through life, being tossed here and there.  I had no purpose or foundation.  I had a husband I didn't appreciate, children I considered burdens instead of blessings, and I just wanted to do things MY way!  I was totally rebellious.  I look back and realize that I was grasping at everything to find something to hang onto.  But nothing ever held me, and I would fall back farther than I had started.  Like trying to get out of a muddy pit, you just keep sliding back down.

God saved me!  He picked me up and cleaned me off and set me on a rock to dry and rest and just enjoy His love.  I have never experienced a love like His before.  You see, He loved me even while I was in the muddy pit.  He loved me at my worst and even protected me when I was lost.  You know, I hear people say they have to quit smoking, drinking, or whatever before they can get saved, but only God can help you do those things.  "I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me. " Philippians 4:13
